Hi guys!
I'm Lubomira but I know it's too long for you, just call me Luba. I'm from Slovakia and if you want to find it on the map, it's right in the middle of Europe.
I've been living in the US for two years and I've been trying to improve my English. However, I'm a teacher of French language and litterature. That's my hobby Nr.1. I like reading books from French authors and watching French movies etc.
Last summer I took English classes in ELTI and I had a wonderfull time. That's why I'm here again. I met so many people from all over the world and especially from Asia. They've really influenced me because right after I had finished the school I started to do tai ci which is my second biggest hobby now.
I hope we're gonna have fun this semester, I'm really looking forward to it.
Luba
Hi, guys
I'm jaesung. I am from South Korea(not North Korea!!) I came here 5 months ago. and I have been studying english for same period. but I still cannot speak english well(-_-;)
I like snowboarding which is really exciting sports. Actually, often I used to go to the ski resort during the season when I lived in Korea. However, at here, the class is already began. so I'm not able to ride a snowboard at many times.
anyway, I'm so glad to see you guys. I wish we will have a great time in this semester. I really expect this semester.
Hi there,
My name is Sonia, I have been living in the US for about two years, and I am from a contry that has won the most beaty contest on Earth. We just have got four Miss Universe and five Miss World. Yes you got it!!! it is Venezuela. I am not a modest person, jajaja just kidding!!!
What is funny about this is the fact that every country that I had visited right after people knew about my original country immediately thougth about the famous Miss Venezuela, and mentioned it to me instead of metion our huge production of oil or our beatiful beaches or the highest waterfall on the world, which is called the Angel Fall. Anyway, I invite you to visit my beatiful country someday. By the way, Bumyan and Ali don't be afraid about lions, snakes or tigers it is only in the jungle believe me.
About myself I am a simple girl that like hiking, playing tennis, dancing salsa, practicing yoga and inviting people for a party to my and my husband Swimming Pool House, Luba and Bumyan have already been there. The last year both of them joined with our Summer Class a few parties in my Swimming Pool House and we had a good time, so when all of you are ready to party let me know, me and my husband will be glad to have you here, of couse we won't swim in the pool but we have a pool table to shoot pool, a mini bar to have a drink and a stereo to dance. We may dance a lot of salsa and teach Abdul how to make it, good idea ahhh!!!!! Fabiana could help with the salsa lessons.
Well guys I think our class is a very interesting class, I am surprised about your improvement in English, especially Bumyan, whom I couldn't understand the last year at the beggining of class when I met him, but he is doing very very good. All of you are very smart people and I'm sure we will enjoy our class during this semester and let's continue having fun.
see ya
Sonia
Hello...
I'm Younghee, and I'm from Korea.
What should I say to you?
No idea!!!
Anyway, I'm really happy to see you guys. I'd like to do many things with you because this semster will be my last semester in America.(T.T)
I read your comments, some of you reallu like dancing. I tried to dance many times, but it was so terrible.^^ But, I like to play sports. When I was Korea, I usually play Squash 2-4 times a week. In the winter, I used to go snowboarding like Jaesung and Bumyang. In the summer, I went water skiing. Now, I'm taking a golf lesson. Maybe I'm gonna be golf player like 'Seri Park'(She is a very famous golfer.)^^;;
I really expect that our class will be funny and exciting. We can make our class like that ourselves.
See you tomorrow!!!

Hi guys..
Let's say "Sawasdee",it's the way to say "hi" in Thai language. My name is Chanunchida, but you can call me "Nan"; it's easier, isn't it? I'm from Thailand and I came here almost six months, i think my english is improving than before.
Well, i graduated from major of Marketing in Thailand. And, i want to study in graduaded school with majoring of international business at states university of San Francisco. I went there during the winter break and i found that i was falling in love that place. So, i've got to study hard to pass IBT Toefl and GMAT in order to get into that university and it means that I can stay here longer ;otherwise i've got to go back to Thailand and go to China for study Chinese language. Oh Dear!! I really don't know that language.
Anyway, I'm glad to meet you guys this semester and whatever whenever you want to talk to me about my country, my major,or something else please don't be hesitate. I'd like to talk to you guys and exchange the ideas.
Nice to meet you guys again.
Take care^^
~Nan~
Hey People, what's going on? I'm Kohei Yamazaki. I'm from Japan??, for real. I have been here since September, 2004(without last summer break for 4 months due to hanging out with Japanese girls in Japan.) Obviously, I have been in Charlotte for 15 months. I feel I'm getting older recently because of the long stay in ELTI. I mean, ElTI classes are so fun to take, but I should graduate from there to pass the TOEFL. Seriously, I'm fed up with the TOEFL. In other words, the test makes me pissed off. I'm just sick of this s**t, anyway.
Let me explain myself. First, I'm something else because nobody can guess what I am going to do. Sometimes I felt as if somebody controlled my body, which means, I often don't understand what I am saying or doing although I'm satisfied with who I am and what I am doing. If you have a stereotype of the Japanese, I'll change it. You know how? I'm so unique and weird.
To female classmates, I really glad to meet you. If you have free time, just let me know. I want to talk to you guys as much as I can. Just call me up!!!
To male classmates, yo, what's up? Nice to meet you. Be cool, man. Have a gay day, buddies.
To Leah, I'm so happy that you are one of my teachers. I'm getting crazy about your classes, hahaha. So how is your boyfriend doing?
Finally, I a d**n brat. Thank you for reading.
Hello everybody.....
late as usual...I know
ok here is a little about my self:
I grewup in Saudi Arabia in a big house with a maid and a driver and everything which made me some problems living on my own the first time i got here. I have a sister and 3 brothers. I'm the oldest. My Father is a surgeon and he is my model. My Mom is a teacher in an elementry school and she means the world to me.
In school I'm straight A student. It was only one time when I finished a semester with B. I love physics alot but I won't major in it becuse in Saudi I'll endup teatching which I dont wanna be. So I'll major in computer Engineering couse it involves both physics and computers wich i like.
Outside the school I like to play soccor, hang out with friends, cruising around everywhere by car , play video games ,watching movies and partying.
I never thought to study at the US it was like a last minut thing. But I don't regret it at all. I really enjoy being with you guys. Let's all go out sometime I sure it will be alot of fun.
I guess that's it..If anyone have any question I'll be glad to answer.
OK Take care....ByeBye
Hey everyone. This is Ken-ichiro Taniguchi. But Just call me ken.
I am from Osaka, Japan. Osaka has a lot of delicious food, such as Okonomi-yaki, and Takoyaki. I will explan about those food in our class, if you want to know, or I will cook them for you guys. I have been staying here for 8 months. I am going to stay here another 7 months and then go back to Japan. Actually, I did not like to study English, when I was a student in Japan. However, since I started working at a cell phone company, I had to take care of a lot of foreign customers to make a contract. I could not speak English at all. Therefore, I decided to study English again, but I was twenty-seven years old. I did not have enogh time to study English, so I came to the United states in order to learn English as fast as I can. Anyhow, I want to share our great time with all of you in this class. Let's do something exciting such as parties, and going to somewhere.
I wish you all the best.
Have a great weekend!!
Sinserely.
Ken-ichiro Taniguchi
Hello~ everyone~
This is Bumyang,Kim
I am the last person who leave my comment.--;
I am from Korea. My hobby is sport. Especially, favorite hobbys are riding something. Snowboard,,horse,,zet-ski,,ski,,mono-ski,, etc,,
I have joined our ELTI class since last summer semester. When I met my teachers(Nancy, Meriam, Leah , Jean), I was so glad, because they are so great teachers. I believed that I could improve my English skills if I follow their directions. I did and still believe that. Furthermore, my classmates are so great. Their English skills are all better than mine. We can help each other to improve our English skills as we teach and direct each other.
Last semester, I was absent many times. I was so stressed out because I had to get my score to enter my graduate school. Although I could not get a enough score, I will attend my class with endusiasm because I recognized that I have to go through English areas at any time, any place to get a good score.
I really wish that we will have a worthwhile time and be able to improve your Englsh skills.
what's up people ? having good times with Leah and Nancy ? I know I do
anyway lets have a game but first we should all play and that means you too Leah and Nancy . the game is simple everybody write what he/she thinks of his/her classmates/studnts or what you want to tell them about themselves

Hello guys, how are you? Now I read the Ali's suggestion, which is very interesting. So I'll join the game. First, about our teachers, but my style of answering will be a little different from others. Never mind.
Leah; She is a very relaxed person and a homey teacher. Taking her classes, I felt as if I was lounging.
Nancy; I already felt that your class is really hard for me, but it's going to be a great challenge, which I like.
Ken; You're the man. Get Fabi ASAP. You'll be fine, man.
Nan; You must be teen? Your voice and thinking are so sweet. Please answer my question!!!
Fabi; She is definitely mature. I know you are a woman, and not a girl. How is Ken?
Jin; I think she is one of the most beautiful women from Korea that I've ever met. I'm waiting for your food.
Young-hee; I like your atmosphere which has lots of enthusiasm. I look forward to your food.
Luba; Honestly, I love Eoropean girls, like French, Spanish, and Slovakian. I'm so glad to talk to you about tennis and so. Please introduce me some gorgeous Slovakian girls.
Sonia; Do you play tennis? I'm definitely going to your gorgeous house.
Abdul; Tell me about your adventure in Canada. I'm just interested in it. Nice to see you.
Ali; I like your idea that you suggested us to leave comments. If you want to get a girl in the U.S., you need to be aggressive, maybe.
Ahmed; You're from a wealthy family, I guess. I have such a fancy cellular phone. Don't lose it.
Bumyang; You're like a cyclopedia. You know everything about English, don't you? You're awfully smart.
Jae-Sung; I have a stereo of Korean guys that they are quiet and intelligent in class.
I do nothing for my homework, so I ght need to start doing. Oh, it sucks. See you guys later.
Hey guys, I'm preparing my speech for tomorrow right now, but this game is more interesting...haha

Jin, how good is your French? You can go with me every Wedsday to the International house in Charlotte, we have 1 hour of French conversation and then we usally go to the bar.....If you want to join us....let me know...
It was nice you found greetings in all our languages....
Younghee, nice girl, seems very sportive...squash, water skiing, golf, snowboard...that's impressive!

I'm gonna move in one year and you're invited...We'll find somebody for you....I like talking about tennis as well and I'm very disapointed about Saturday, I don't like J. Henin-Hardenne any more....
Ahmed, funny, sweet....I like your comments about how you cannot live by yourself...you know...life could be hard...hahaha....and your mom is a teacher? I like teachers, we're nice persons....haha....
Ken-ichiro, cool and interesting guy, and....there is something about Japanese people...
Bum-yang, hi opa, you're still cool, excellent in English....How is your girlfriend? Do you still have video from Sonia's house? Nice to see you again.
Nancy, Meriam I liked your classes, you helped me a lot with my English...I'm happy to be here again.

I don't know how many of you read this blog every day, but I have an announcement.....
I have my birthday tomorrow and I'd like to invite to a small celebration in my apartment. I know that two parties in one week is a lot....That's why I wanna do this in my place and nobody has to care about anything....you already prepared a great party for Nan two days ago.
I live in Berkeley place apartment, building 9310, Apart. 1711. It's on Mallard Creek Church Rd. It's 5 minutes from UNCC by car. If you take University boulvard, or Tryon, Kirk Street you'll reach Mallard. Then turn to the left. You pass Mary Alexander, Tryon.....and then you see Thornberry Apr. complex on your left but you have to pass it. Next left turn is to Berkeley place.
Sonia know where I live...or if you need a ride I can come to the university or Ken's place....or whatever ....and take you.
If you're lost, my number is 479 366 6263.
See you soon,
