I believe that Mezzee and Owen are going to be happy for ever, their relationship is very strong.
I think this is a very interesting and very good lesson for human being to be learned.And the message I got from this story is: no matter what race, religion, or species any human being or animal belong, love and frienship could grow and be stronger between two different people or animals.
I did like this story and I enjoyed watching the movie. Thanks Leah for sharing.
The story about Owen and Mezee is lovely! It tells us that love is much stronger than prejudices about race, borders, age...
However, it's hard to say what's their future is going to be like. Owen maybe has found his "mother" and one day he's going to leave Mezee because of female hippo. His instincts might be stronger.....It should be believed that he will always take care about Mezee together with his "partner" and their children....We never know what can happen.

By all mean good luck reading this everybody….. At the beginning I have to say that this issue got me thinking for 1 hour and a half believe it or not to come up with a philosophical analyzation. It is such a fascinating and tremendous friendship story that moved my feeling and thoughts about this mysterious journey of friendship. I imagine that these wild animals have a strong relationship rather than to say love which I strongly believe won’t last forever because of many reasons. The main reason is that we all believe that there are many animals that came from different species that can end up with having a good relationship not ‘LOVE STORY’. Dogs and Cats can be a good example. They both have different behavior but yet they can socialize without any problems. Owen and Mezee have the same relationship which I strongly believe. Therefore, one day Owen would find same species partner who can assist him to have his inherent needs of life and go on with his life and so as Mezee. I mean they cannot have kids being together can they. I know that there is love without having kids in this life but not with the case of animal because it is unusual. So to me it is just a normal thing that can happen to any animals in this planet. It just depends on the way how those animals grew up. So, to me it is not very surprising seeing an alligator with a monkey coming on news next time hahahaha. ITS JUST FRIENDSHIP THATS ALL... NO BIG DEAL...That’s my philosophical theory.

Some of you guys said that kinds of relashionship are impossible, but I think IT'S POSSIBLE!!!. I sometimes feel that I can communicate with people of defferent groups, understand each other like a relationship between ToTo and Alfredo of movie "Cinema Paradiso" That's a lesson of this story, I guess^^ Also, in the world, there are a lot of mysterious phenomenons that we can't explain. I hope that they are getting along together forever.^^
Who knows? That happening is reasonable for Mezee and Owen even though it is weird for most people.
Maybe they think that human being is so weird and strange. Also, majority ideas must not be right.Hahaha!!!

Don't you think that Mezzio and owen can find some baby pigeon and go on with thier lives I mean that's going to be alot of fun for them!! I mean don't you think? I think GooD luck for them communicating togather! I would imagine Mozzio would say to baby pigeons to be quite and they would go and bring him some water? you know hahahaha but it very possiable
I loved the story!! it is so beautiful to see two different animals get along together like that!
I think they will be friends forever, because they already found the love between them... and this feeling will never end. They respect each other diferences.
The lesson that I learned from this video, that there is no diference of race,religion or species that can make friends be apart. Friendship is learn to understand each other.

I really enjoyed seeing this movie.it was really heartwarming story, and I hope they would be together as long as they could. but I think that eventually the time when they have to leave from each other will come someday. so I just hope that until the time, they are happy. and we are human beings have to make a world peace, because we can communicat each other by speaking lunguages. To learn English is a first step of doing it. I believe so.
It is not a love between other sex, but a just friendly relationship between other species. Even though we can consider that they have a lovely mind, they are physically,biologically different. Owen is to Mezee what human is to dog. I think that they would have a good relationship each other as a friend. If Owen or Mezee feel a love as another sex, they must have a kind of mental disease. The reason why human think of their relationship as a love is that human being has a view of "lord of creation". We just determined that they love each other,,,,,but we do not know what they think. If some people says "I really love my dog as a woman", we would say "haha,,,,, crazy". Furthermore, the rule that same species have to love among them is also determined by human.

First of all, I'm sorry, Leah. Last Sunday, the Internet around my place didn't function so that I couldn't complete this homework. The story about Owen and Mezee is very unrealistic. I understand they have a strong trust and a remarkable relationship although I didn't feel any love between Owen and Mezee. I felt as if they became great baddies. It might be not only a heartwarming story, but also a natural phenomenon, which is really suprising. Imagine that if you are in love with other animals, what do you think about that? Here's a thing. We have a duty to make a next generation. What I'd like to say is that this phenomenon will be a serious morphological problem, which would threaten the nature environment. Each creature has to keep its species to make the next generation. By the way, Dr. Paula Kahumbu has such a crappy accent, which is really difficult to catch. Do people in Kenya use British English? I'm just saying, homey. Valentine's day is coming up. What you going to do, dog? I'm definitely ready to eat sweet stuff. Sounds tight, doesn't it? Be cool, baddies.
