Internet-Based Textbook Listening Exercise- Chapter 9: The Origins of Genetics

Internet-Based Textbook Listening Exercise

Chapter 9: The Origins of Genetics: Mendel and the Garden Pea Experiment

1. Go to the quiz that is linked here.

2. Click “Quiz” on the left side of the screen. Choose “display all questions on one page” and click “start assignment now.”

3. Read over the questions before you press play. Take notes while you listen, because some of the contents of the lecture will be on your open notes listening test. Answer the questions when you are ready and click “submit.” That should give you your score.

4. Take note of your score and print out that page just in case your score is not emailed.

5. Type in my email address in the “E-mail results to” line: leah_graham@hotmail.com .

6. Next, type any message you like and fill in the blanks for your first name, last name and your email address. You should get a copy of your score too.

7. Press the gold “send email” button so I can receive your grade.

Warning: If I do not receive an email from you, you will not receive a grade. Thus, you might want to print out the score page just in case.

Don’t forget: You can listen to the lecture as many times as you need to, but you should not work with others to complete this assignment. You are on the honor system.
